Across Cultures supports internationally-focused professionals (and the cross-cultural trainers, professors, consultants, and instructors who support them) in settings such as business, non-profit, academics, health, military, government, and others, by offering two things: 1) the Peterson Cultural Style Indicator™, an online tool that lets you compare your cultural style to 95 countries, and 2) its in-depth companion, the book Cultural Intelligence: A Guide to Working with People from Other Cultures (Second Edition, 2018).

Bio / background: Across Cultures is a small independent company, never pretending to be a big one, and it’s run by me, Brooks Peterson. I launched Across Cultures on the web in 1997 with about a decade of experience in the second language / cross-cultural arena. I’ve lived and worked primarily in North America and Europe, including working as a cross-cultural trainer and consultant to various organizations in various fields and industries. I have taught Intercultural Communication and other international management topics, mostly at the graduate level and also at the undergraduate level, and have a B.A. in French, an M.Ed. in Adult Education, and a Ph.D. in Second Languages and Cultures Education.
